I am a worldwide traveller and I have been travelling to 23 countries and when ever it comes to tropical I rent motorbike Like Thailand> Phuket. Indonesia> Bali or Malaysia> Langkawi. This was my best ever experience of motorbike renting in my entire life. Amazing and clean motorbike. A very responsible person in charge of giving bikes is Alex Vun and his Mom. They very very kind adorably that they gave us raincoat and two very good helmets + cellPhone holder that aided me well with my focus on navigation on my KK trip. Next time if I ever wanna travel again to KK, Ill never hesitate to book that cool Honda motorbike in advance. Even bike petrol was full.

I have been traveling in south east Asia for long time, I get to rent many scooters But this place is something different The owner is very friendly and welcoming person He help me to build a loop over Sabha and sit with me all over the small details The scooter was well maintained and had a box on the back that was very helpful when it was raining The price was good and fair

Absolutely impressed with Scooter Monkey! We hired a scooter and car over 5 days. Best price, totally chilled and super friendly service, completely hassle free and immediately responsive to any questions. Definitely not out to charge for little extras like many other companies, genuinely motivated to make our holiday enjoyable and free of drama. Extremely friendly owner, who seem to be looking out for the welfare of the customers. She thought of everything that a customer would need, and provided them before sending the customer off. We'll, she did that for me and even gave me souvenirs - masks, key chain and sticker. She made me brought along container for spare petrol, phone holder etc. Her motorcycle was in a tip top shape, bringing me safely to Ranau, Kundasang, Kota Belud and back to Kota Kinabalu. A definite must for anyone seeking to rent motorcycles.

Friendly and professional agent. My mistake was went down straight before asking about the price, what bike were available but they let me went in to look around for the bike that were available at the parking lot. Eventually I managed to book and rent Kawasaki KLX250. You have to provide your passport(foreigners) or any form of valid government issued ID and driving license. Before you come down, they will ask you if the helmet is ok for your liking, will provide raincoats, riding gloves and phone holder. Once you reach, they will provide a form/documents for you to read(terms&conditions etc), and sign afterwards. They will ask you to take a picture of the documents for you to keep and as a reminder. Then you pay for the deposit and rental fees. My mistake was I didn’t test the bike before ride off to my destination, sadly the rear brake malfunction and unable to use, have to rely on engine and front brake. Told agent about it, they told me can go to any motorcycle workshop to get the rear brake fixed and they will reimburse the amount with receipt to prove but didn’t have the time to do so. Good and reliable bike with good fuel consumption, counted it as average 38km/L, fueltank is about 2.03 gallon/7.7litres. I assumed this bike has pillion footrest but sadly no, so the pillion have to placed their legs on the rider’s foot rest, so you have to step on their feet anyway. This is solely for single rider and also they don’t have a comfortable seat because this bike is not meant for comfort, it’s meant for ADVENTURE! So expect to stand once in a while to stretch the legs and get rid of soreness from your glutes. Just before I have to return this KLX at 8am, I did request to rent another motorcycle at 5.30am, kind of insane to text early in the morning but they did reply at 6.30am and they are more than happy to cater for you. Managed to get this awesome new and latest bike they have currently which is the Honda CB250R. Despite it is the same engine capacity with KLX, this motorcycle’s fuel consumption is not as good as KLX but is smooth and comfortable to ride, especially during cornering. Everything is in tip top condition, no issues with the bike. After returning the rented bike, had a good talk with the agent. Told the agent regarding both the motorcycle I rented such as filling up petrol and checked tyre pressure before returning and if there are anything wrong with the bike and the agent took it down immediately and fix the issue as soon and possible by informing the mechanic the issues. Such as informing and advice the agent to lube the chain on the CB250r, the agent immediately text the mechanic about it. The agent even apologise for any shortcomings . Had a good talk and sharing session with agent afterwards . Highly recommend if you want to rent slightly bigger motorcycle They do have smaller CC motorcycles too but smaller bike are meant for roaming around Kota Kinabalu itself, if you want to travel out of town, preferably take slightly bigger CC motorcycle.
