MR CB400

Went in to get my chain and sprocket replaced with an OEM set. After the job was done, I was quoted 750 MYR — significantly more than what I’d expect to pay for the same service in Singapore. When I asked if the price could be adjusted, the boss had already left, and the employee revised it down to 700 MYR, which still felt a bit off. In hindsight, I should have confirmed the final cost before agreeing to the repair — lesson learned. What raised a red flag was that the boss had asked me what he had quoted the week before. I couldn’t remember the exact number, but I’m certain it wasn’t 750 MYR, especially since it’s cheaper to get it done in Singapore. This made it seem like there wasn’t a fixed or transparent pricing structure in place. Overall, the service itself was okay, but the unclear pricing left a bad impression. I had originally planned to proceed with a full overhaul after this, but the experience made me reconsider.

The mechanic was highly skilled and knowledgeable, quickly diagnosing the issue and completing the repair efficiently. The cost was very reasonable at RM250. I also appreciate the extra care—they helped wipe clean my fuel tank after the job was done. Overall, I’m very satisfied with their professionalism and attention to detail. Thank you boss suresh and team at Mr CB400 for making up my motorcycle to what I wanted. If you have a super 4 please head to their shop. I recommend them as experts in their craft.

Mr Suresh is a hardworking and very knowledgeable mechanic. I bought a terrible condition cb400 as I don’t have a good knowledge about bike. Found that it had unreasonably bad fuel consumption (1L 15km) . Heard about this shop on some forum and eventually went. The thing I learned about overhauling process is, it takes time and patience. I had multiple visits, and of course sometimes worried whether the bike can be fixed. Parts by parts changed but it doesn’t always seem to make progress. After did a complete overhaul, change some critical parts (throttle body, fuel pump), Suresh did final tuning on my bike, and wow, the bike feels so good, also all issues seems to be gone. Now the bike is powerful yet fuel efficient (1L 20km ish)

Visited this workshop for the first time on a Saturday around 10:15 AM to replace a part. The part took about an hour to arrive, and while five mechanics worked on the bike, there were no other customers at the time. One thing to note: the mechanics are unable to provide price estimates, and the owner had to be contacted to finalize the price, which added to the wait time. After the part was installed, I was asked to test ride the bike, and the performance seemed satisfactory. However, since the part was second-hand, we asked about a warranty to ensure it would last. The owner mentioned that details were supposedly shared via WhatsApp, but nothing had been communicated earlier. When we raised the issue, the owner became defensive, raised his voice, and said "don't talk too much," which was both unprofessional and unnecessary. The owner also threatened to take out the fixed part and doesn't want our business. We also had trouble getting a proper receipt for the part and warranty, and the shop didn’t even have a pen available for this purpose. Overall, the owner’s poor communication skills and unwillingness to address concerns made the experience frustrating. I won't be returning, and I would advise others to approach with caution. Too bad what could be a 5 star review became a 1 star review. Please treat your customers how you would like to be treated.
